Elsie Ritzenhein

 

Elsie Ritzenhein is an education consultant and facilitator and the Director of Creative Sources, where she provides consulting and facilitation services for individuals and organizations who are interested in the possibilities of creative thinking and leadership.  She has 38 years of experience in K-12 education in both Ohio and Michigan, where she has served as a teacher, administrator, grants writer, consultant and school board member.  In addition, she was a consultant with the Macomb Intermediate School District, a regional education agency in Michigan, and has been an Adjunct Professor with several universities, most recently Saginaw Valley State University.  Her primary interest is in designing, implementing and leading brain-compatible environments for optimal learning, within the classroom, the school and the organization.  She is currently creating and directing the Macomb Academy of Arts and Sciences in Armada, Michigan, a 9-12 honors-level magnet program for mathematics, science, technology and the arts.
