Susan Formento is the current K-12 World Language Coordinator for the L'Anse Creuse Public Schools and has developed programs and a standards-based curriculum in French, German and Spanish. Ms. Formento holds degrees from Eastern Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University. She spent four years at the high school level as a teacher and department chair before spending six years teaching at the elementary level.
Ms. Formento is an active member in the Michigan Foreign Language Association. In addition to presenting numerous workshops for the organization, she was instrumental in planning the state conference and the Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. Ms. Formento is also a member of the Oakland County FLES Network and a member of the Oakland County Foreign Language Association.
